Hands on help

Spending too much time on staff issues rather than on your business? Need some outsourced HR help?

Prefer to be working with an accessible HR advisor who understands your business and the way that you work? Looking for an Interim HR professional as a short term solution to a short term problem?

Retained HR Service

Many businesses are happy to work with HR consultants in a transactional way as and when required, on one-off projects for example. However, when a business is growing and particularly when it is expanding its workforce, the demands of managing that workforce can increase the strain on the time that business owners and line managers have available. Also, those demands can become more complex and may possibly require some specialist skill or knowledge.

We can offer a retained HR service based on your needs and structured in a way that is flexible, tailored to your budget and which leaves you in control. It could include attendance at your regular management or Board meetings to contribute an HR point of view; developing policy or procedures; managing a particular recruitment and selection processes and the associated paperwork; providing a general reference point for staff and managers; or assisting with difficult situations.

Interim HR

This service involves providing some aspect of HR cover, including leading an HR teamĀ  on site for a fixed period of time. It is the closest thing to employing an HR professional without actually employing them through payroll; it may involve doing a real job (one that appears on your organization chart) of managing and developing an HR team and a budget on behalf of the client.

Interim HR is about providing either specialist expertise or an extra pair of hands. Demand for interim HR professionals is often a result of the need to

  • cover a senior HR maternity leaver, secondment, or long term sickness absentee
  • manage a fixed term project such as a recruitment or redundancy programme
  • manage an ongoing growth programme
  • cover a vacant HR role until a permanent appointment is made.
